As an employee of USI, you will be able to create a benefits package that will meet your and your family's needs. Below is a summary of the benefits that are offered to employees and their families.
Medical- USI Consulting Engineers, Inc. cares about our employees and their families and with the rising cost of health care, USI offers a preferred provider plan through United Health Care-River Valley. Coverage includes Prescription Drug and Chiropractic Care Benefits. Employee and dependent coverage is paid 50% by USI.
Dental- USI provides dental insurance through Principal Financial Group. Dental coverage includes two check-ups, per calendar year, per person. Employee and dependent coverage is paid 50% by USI.
Vision- - USI make available to employees optional vision coverage through Superior Vision that offers eye exams, significant savings on corrective glasses and contacts and discounts on Lasik eye surgery.
Group Life Insurance and AD&D - Through our life insurance options with Principal Life Insurance Company, USI brings peace of mind to our employees and loved ones. Life insurance and AD&D is covered 100% by USI and provides coverage at 1.5 times annual income with a maximum of $100,000.
Long Term Disability - Employee coverage is paid 100% by USI. LTD provides coverage at 60% of monthly income to a maximum of $8,000. LTD will start if an employee is out of work for more than 90 days due to an injury or illness.
Voluntary Life Insurance - This option is available for the employee and family members and provides coverage up to 5 times annual income to a maximum of $300,000.
Flexible Spending Accounts - USI offers employees the opportunity to participate in a Flexible Spending Account Plan allowing the employee to cover out-of-pocket Health Care and/or Dependent Care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
401(k) Plan - This plan through Employee Fiduciary Corporation is open to all eligible Employees. USI will match 50% of your 401(k) election up to a 4% contribution. You have the freedom to choose where to invest your funds.
Paid Vacation - Full time employees with less than 5 years of service can accumulate 2 weeks of paid vacation per year and employees with more than 5 years may earn 3 weeks of vacation.
Paid Sick - Full time employees may earn up to 6 days of sick time per year which can be accumulated up to a maxiumum of 5 days.
Paid Holidays - USI provides paid holiday days for full time employees including: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Christmas Day, and 1 floating holiday to be determined each year.
